#22. REDWOOD + CEDAR, ALPINE ROOF
#22. REDWOOD + CEDAR, ALPINE ROOF
Designed and hand crafted in San Francisco during the month of March, the year 2023. Classic Pop’s Garden “Alpine” roof design, and a finger joint post mountable base. Signed, numbered, and personally dedicated on the bottom of the house, obscured by the post mount box. (Each birdhouse is an individually, custom rendered work of art.). This is the 22nd in the series.
Reclaimed, up-cycled Redwood fence and barn wood, as well as trim elements in Western Cedar. Planed, cut to size, sanded, finished with Beeswax.
5.75” x 5.75” box joint base. 18.25” high at peak of the roof. 1.25” Entrance hole. 7” to the entrance hole from the bottom of cavity. Cavity size is 4” x 4” x 12”.
Suitable for Nuthatches + Chickadees, or if kept indoors for a collector of fine art. These birdhouses are both functional and decorative, and have been influenced by the work of Andy Goldsworthy, Joseph Cornell, James Turrell, Olafur Eliasson, Michael Musika (my grandfather, not me) Teching Hsieh, and by how nature works. Wabi Sabi, slowly, and with sharp eyes.
